Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr. posted a video on May 26 showing him removing two southern black racer snakes from the Florida home of Dr. Mehmet Oz, the administrator of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. The footage, filmed at Oz’s waterfront property in Palm Beach, shows Kennedy cornering the two nonvenomous snakes on a patio and grabbing them off the ground. His wife, actress Cheryl Hines, can be heard saying, “Honey, honey … why?” as Kennedy wrangles the reptiles. He then jokingly tells Hines that the snakes were venomous moccasins, also known as cottonmouths, while she pleads with him to let them go. “Cheryl cheerleads the removal of a pair of Black Racers from Dr. Oz’s patio,” Kennedy wrote in a caption online.
