President Donald Trump‘s social media platform, Truth Social, is forcing its new users to follow the conservative activist Tommy Robinson.

Robinson is known for organizing the anti-immigration protest “Unite The Kingdom” on Sept. 13, 2025.

Robinson claimed his coast-to-coast tour of the United States this spring was focused on drawing attention to the “cultural destruction of the United Kingdom and the destruction through mass immigration,” according to The Telegraph.

He also said that he was in America “making alliances and friendships.”

In a recent interview, Robinson praised Trump, Vice President J.D. Vance and Tesla CEO Elon Musk, who had participated in the protests, as “the only people fighting for our free speech right now.”

The activist had been granted admission to the United States despite his convictions for assault, drug possession, mortgage fraud and contempt of court.

The fraud-related offense involved his frequent false allegations against a Syrian refugee in breach of an injunction. He also led a series of recent anti-migrant protests in central London.

The accounts analyzed by The Telegraph show that new Truth Social users have been forced to follow Robinson regardless of whether they sign up on the platform in the U.K. or the U.S.

The move to the president’s social media company seems to have increased the far-right activist’s influence on the platform, which was launched in 2022 after the president was banned from both Facebook and Twitter.

Robinson has managed to reach more than 1.7 million followers.

Accounts that register on the platform are automatically added to a list of about 100 users.
